Within an Alien's Grasp

If her face was red before it was like the sun's surface now. "Oh... Ee deed not know vou wayr zare." Her hand was on her chest, trying to slow it down. "Oom, zank vou." Katya looked at Demitri, half blaming him jokingly.

Demitri chuckled as Sharron pulled up a chair. "I hope you don't mind. It's time for my break and nobody else is scheduled."

Demitri shook his head."No, that's fine. I was hoping to introduce you two anyway. This is Kayta. She helped me me with my Bio class a fewdays ago."

"Ahh, so this is the infamous cutie," the green skinned girl said licking her lips lightly and giving Kayta a wink. "I must say, you're far more lovely in person my dear."

She didn't know her face could get any hotter, but it did. "Oh, vou talk aboot may?" Katya asked severely blushing towards Demitri. She cleared a throat slightly and looked at the alien waitress, "Way joost boomped een to aychozer and Ee happaynd to have a book he was workeeng on een hees collayge class."

The girl giggled at Kayta's bright red face. "I had been wondering how he managed to out score me on that test."

Demitri laughed. "Like I told you and everybody on the faculty that cared; Kayta tutored me and it finally clicked."

Sharron turned back to the girl and smiled. "Whatever you did to him, it worked. I've been trying to help Numbnuts here for months now, but I guess I'm just not cute enough to have had any effect." She said and winked slyly.

She -- or her face rather -- couldn't take the embarrassment any longer, "Ooh, oom, zank vou, boot Ee do not zeenk zat eez zee case." Katya cleared her throat and took a sip of water, the cool substance hitting her empty stomach, causing it to growl; she looked at Demitri.

Demitri chuckled at the sound and looked at his friend. "Could you do me a favor and get us an order of Potato Skins?"

Sharron laughed and nodded before standing up. "Can do. One order of possibly the most awkward think on the menu, coming right up."

Demitri rolled his eyes and looked back at Kayta. "Sorry, I kinda get wrapped up when talking and will occasionally space things out."

Katya shook her head and waved it off, "Eet ees okay, Ee guess Ee vas more hoongary zan expaycted." She laughed slightly and placed her hands in her lap, not knowing what else to say. When a few minutes passed with nothing being said she sighed, "Sorry, Ee am not oosed to zis sort of seetooation."

Demitri cocked his head to the side slightly after taking a swig of his disgusting looking drink. He had been thinking of ways to improve the texture when his 'date' spoke up. "Hm? What do you mean?"

As he spoke, another server, this time a human, came up to the table with the plate of appetizers. The pair placed their meal order and Demitri turned back to Katya. "Now, what situation are you talking about?"

She was a tad shocked, she thought that he was being quiet because he was trying to not make her self conscious of this situation, or something. But no? Katya swallowed, putting a few potato skins on her plate as she thought of something to say. "Ee do not know, joost zees. Haveeng deenayr weeth a collayge stoodaynt Ee gays."

Demitri chuckled and put a couple on his own plate. "Well that's to be expected. Don't forget, you're still a High School student, and look like you should still be in Middle School, while I'm in college but should be in High School."

She laughed, "Eet ees troo, Ee have skeepped sayvayral grades; Ee am zee voungayst een my class." Katya took a bite of potato skin, surprised at just how good it was; it made her laugh. "Vou have vayry eentayraysteeng tastes een food. Ayvayryzang looks deesgoosteeng boot ees actooally vayry good." And saying that made her want another sip of the odd smoothie.

He laughed and nodded his head. "Yeah, a lot of food I enjoy is like that. However, there is usually a way to improve it so it doesn't look as gnarly, while still keeping it's overall effect the same." As he finished his statement something hit him and he grinned wide before taking a bite of potato skin.

Katya took a sip of water to wash the not-so-conflicting-tastes out of her mouth before speaking. "Why are vou smeeleeng leek zat?" She asked curiously and have bashful.

He shook his head and continued grinning. "No reason really. I just had an idea." He finished his smoothie and took a sip of his water, now turning to people watching, trying to see what kinds of people were around the restaurant.

She was flustered, always being the curious type; her teachers always told her she'd be a great scientist. "Tayl may. What was eet vou vayr zeenkeeng about?" Katya put another potato skin in her mouth, it crunching slightly until she got to the slightly mushy part in the middle.

He chuckled and stood up. "You'll find out soon enough. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll be back in a few minutes." With that he walked past Katya and through a door.

Katya watched him leave, sitting up even straighter than she had been before her left (which was pretty straight). She swallowed hard, feeling everyone in the restaurant stare at her, probably thinking she was being ditched. Was she? Her breathing started to become a tad more rapid, but she stopped it before it could get out of hand. Instead, to keep her busy, she grabbed her book and tried to busy herself.

"Relax Sugar," a voice whispered in her ear causing her to nearly jump out of her skin.

Sharron giggled and took away Katya's still mostly full smoothie glass along with Demitri's before placing a bowl of bread in the table's center. "He's in the kitchen talking with one of the chefs and the bartender."

"Zee bartayndayr? Ees hay old aynough to spayk to sooch payple?" She was genuninely concerned about this, twiddling her thumbs in her lap as the alien waitress did her job.

Sharron giggled again and nodded her head. "No worries sweetie. I said he was talkin' not orderin'. They're discussing that disgusting drink of his. Apparently lookin' at you gave him the inspiration he needed to finally fix it."

Her eyebrow cocked, not understanding how looking at her would give him inspiration for a drink... it sounded sort of... romantic? Katya's cheeks turned a faint pink once more as she nodded her head, "Ves." She exhaled, not knowing what else to do. "Do vou meend eef Ee ask vou qoosteeons? Ee am vayry coorious about vour spaycees." When Katya realized how that came out she gasped, shaking her head repeatedly, "OOh, Ee am vayry apologayteec, Ee deed not mean zat zee way eet came out."

Sharron laughed softly and shook her head. "Sure ya did. It's an innocent enough statement, though I must say that your starter question was a little redundant, as you didn't give me much of a choice whether or not I was asked questions." She winked at the flustered girl and sighed. "Anyway, I'm still on the clock so we'll have to schedule some other time for a little interview. Besides, here comes your beau."

She winked again and walked off just as Demitri sat down again. "Sorry that took so long. Did you enjoy your talk with Sharron?"

Katya watched the alien girl leave and Demitri arrive, "She ees a neece geerl, boot a leetle beet confooseeng at teemes." She looked at Demitri, remembering what he was gone so long for, "Deed you feex zee recipe? Zee waitrayss tayls may vou found eenspeeration een may?"

Demitri chuckled and nodded as he settled in his seat. "Yeah, at least I think it'll help. They're working on the syrups in the back right now."

"Vou vayry mooch aynjoy zees, do vou not?" Katya pointed out, Demitri seemed to really get into this drink mixing business... maybe he would become some sort of bartender. "What do vou plan on doeeng een zee footoore eef vou do not meend may askeeng?"

After some extensive research -- and partial pleasure -- Xia He dressed herself in a very revealing dress with stunning heals and her hair up in an elegant up-do. She wasn't sure what it was, but Xia He just wasn't feeling like herself today, it was very rare her staying at her house the whole day... she had to get out on the town and do more research! After some very intense deliberation, she decided to go back to that bar she met the male alien; upon entering, she could already smell his scent, her body reacting in an extremely new way.
